Hello everyone. Today I am sharing a tiny little matchbox that I made with double sided, patterned paper. It slides open to reveal a teensy accordion style album that will be filled with thumbnail sized photos. It began with just a simple match box…
A small striped pattern makes the outer box and the patterned bands, flowers, butterfly and stamp image were all fussy cut from the same paper collection. To make them more durable, I coated both sides twice, with some multi medium matte. They can still bend, but are much less likely to tear or fray…
A round pearl button on a shank was used to make the drawer ‘pull’. A hole was made on the end of the inside box, the shank was pushed through the hole and then a jump ring was attached to the shank inside the box to keep it in place…
Two lengths of card stock were attached together to allow for a thirteen page album. A length of silk ribbon was colored with an alcohol marker to make the simple ribbon closure…
The double sided pattern paper was positioned so that this sweet little phrase is visible when the album is lifted out…
Every other page was embellished, allowing for a total of 13 tiny pictures to be added on the front and back ‘pages’. I do find tiny treasures really charming and I’m hoping this will make a special gift …
Thanks so much for visiting~
Sending you blessings and ((hugs)),
